Vehicles in Britain are subject to an annual MOT test.

For vehicles that come within the MOT scheme, testing is mandatory every year after the vehicle is three years old.

The current charge set by The Vehicle Inspectorate for an MOT is £55.00, but we charge £45.00 and have done for over 10 years. Our MOT’s are not discounted to get you through the door then hit you with a fail. We set our charge at £45.00 because we believe in being fair across the range of all our services. An MOT takes an average of 40 minutes, our labour rate, and equipment calibration charges are taken into consideration and then the cost of the MOT slot, which we have to purchase from the government. As a result, this is why we price our MOT at £45.00.

If your vehicle does fail it is because the vehicle has fallen below the minimum requirements of a safe roadworthy vehicle, set out by the Department of Transport. Therefore we must abide by the guidelines for your safety and for the safety of other road users and pedestrians.
